Transformations in IDL-JETDSP

After loading TRANSP signals it is still possible to perform the same basic signal processing options. Currently the operations available are,

  • Volume Integral.
  • Flux Integral.
  • Area Integral.
  • Line Average.
  • Volume Average.
  • Root Mean Square Volume Average.
  • Double Inverse Line Average.
  • Double Inverse Volume Average.
  • Derivative.
  • Logarithmic Derivative.
  • Scale length.

These options can be selected from the menu option 'Transp Functions->Transformations...'. This differs from the input transformation in two ways.

  1. This allows transformations for signals on four bases, 'X', 'XB', 'RZON', and 'RBOUN'.
  2. The lower limit can be given either in terms of R or X.
  3. Note that if given in X it must be between 0.0 and 1.0, and if given in R the value must lie within the plasma.
