Input transformations in IDL-JETDSP

When loading TRANSP signals it is possible to perform some basic signal processing options. Currently the operations available are,

  • Volume Integral.
  • Flux Integral.
  • Area Integral.
  • Line Average.
  • Volume Average.
  • Root Mean Square Volume Average.
  • Double Inverse Line Average.
  • Double Inverse Volume Average.
  • Derivative.
  • Logarithmic Derivative.
  • Scale length.

These options can be selected from the input transformation button. For the integral and average transformations the lower limit can be set. This must be between 0.0 and 1.0.

Only signals stored against 'X' and 'XB' can be processed. Trying to transform other signals fails quietly, and the untransformed signal is loaded. Transformations for multigraphs are supported where appropriate.

After loading it is possible to perform these same transformations
