Fixgridding of signals

Many 3 dimensional Transp signals have an axis which varies with time. This means that these signals cannot be stored in the PPF system. To allow the storage of these signals thay can be placed upon a regular grid. This is done via the menu 'Transp Function->Fixgrid...', which bring up the window shown below.

Fixgridding of signals can occur in three manners, these differ in the grid used and the resultant x-axis. The three choices are;

  • Use Data Range.
  • The grid extends from the lowest x-value to the highest x-value, and contains the same number of points as the current x-axis.
  • Use Fixed Values.
  • The signal is placed onto RMAJM and mirrored about the magnetic axis. The grid used is defined in the preferences, see Transp Preferences .
  • Specify Values.
  • The maximum and minimum values for the grid along with the number of x-points can be entered into the text boxes provided.
